Munificent Labs rolls out Values Alignment Screening

RE
Values Alignment Screening (VAS), effective immediately

INTERNAL MEMO - People & Culture

Colleagues,

Munificent Labs is proud to be a high-trust, low-paperwork environment. To protect that trust, People & Culture is introducing Values Alignment Screening, a final-stage check that flags candidates whose expectations diverge from our operating reality.

The following are now logged as Misalignment Indicators:

- Requesting a written offer letter ("prefers documentation over relationships")

- Requesting a nine-hour working day ("limited passion ceiling")

- Requesting a five-day week ("weekend-availability hesitancy")

- Referencing external statutes, labour codes, or hour caps ("introduces third parties into the family")

A candidate triggering two or more indicators will be thanked for their time and informed that our operational requirements do not align with the flexibility they need. Recruiters are reminded that this is not a rejection; it is a values match that resolved correctly.

As our founder says: the best hires never ask what they are agreeing to. They simply agree.
