Corrections & right of reply
We keep score. So we keep it accurate.
The whole point of this site is that the true stories are true. When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly and quickly — and companies always get a chance to respond on the record.
What's fact and what's fiction here
True stories are first-person accounts told to the Host. We verify the storyteller is real, keep supporting material on file where it exists, and tag each story with what we could and couldn't document.
Satire is fiction, full stop. It lives on yellow pages, carries a warning banner, and never uses real company names. If it isn't labelled satire, it isn't satire.
The index aggregates data from stories and structured submissions. Companies appear in league tables only with three or more independent reports.
If you're a company in a story
You have a standing right of reply. Send us your account and we'll print it in full alongside the story — unedited, clearly attributed. If you can show a material fact is wrong, we correct the story, mark the correction inline with the date, and note it below. We don't quietly edit. Ever.
If you're a storyteller
You can update or withdraw your story at any time, including after publication. Anonymous means anonymous — we don't reveal storytellers, full stop, including to the companies involved.
Our commitments
- We acknowledge correction requests within 72 hours.
- Corrections are made inline and dated — the original error is struck through, not deleted.
- Company responses are printed in full.
- We never reveal an anonymous storyteller's identity.
- Satire is always labelled. If you find unlabelled fiction, that's a correction too — tell us.
