Pellam & Rooke — Candidate Record (Permanent): One Interview, Scored for Life

PELLAM & ROOKE — TALENT ARCHIVE

One interview. One score. One lifetime.

THE RECORD

On 14 March 2024 you interviewed for our Analyst position. You were nervous. You used the word “passionate” four times and could not name a time you disagreed with a manager without describing a time you agreed with one. Your score was 2.4 out of 5. The score is filed. It is not a draft.

THE POLICY

We do not conduct second interviews. We consult the first. Every application you submit — for any role, in any office, at any point in your career — is matched against the record before a human sees it. The record does not expire. It is not deleted. It is not appealed.

THE REFERRAL

You may be referred by a current employee. The referral is noted, then matched against the record. The record wins. This is not personal. It is archival.

THE EXCEPTION

If you believe you have improved, submit evidence of improvement. The evidence will be added to the record. The record will not be updated.

THE DURATION

Your ineligibility period is three years or indefinite, depending on which option our system selects at the time. You will not be told which. You may ask. The answer is the record.

THE INTERVIEW YOU REMEMBER

You remember it as a bad day. We remember it as a data point. Both are correct. Ours is the one that follows you.

THE REASSURANCE

Nothing about this is punitive. It is simply that we interview everyone once, and we would hate to confuse a later version of you with the first one. Consistency is a value. So is the file.

HOW TO REAPPLY

Apply. Each application renews our interest in your record. Somewhere, a recruiter will look at it again, feel the same way, and move on. This is the process working.

HOW TO APPEAL

You cannot. Appeals imply that records change. Ours do not. The file is the file.

THE FEEDBACK

None. The score is the feedback. You have had it since 2024.

— Pellam & Rooke. We move candidates forward. Constantly. Toward the door.
