The recruiter approached him first. She found him, not the other way round. Then she rescheduled their meeting once — fine, things happen — and finally they spoke.

It went well. She said so. She mentioned the executive team was at an offsite, which explained the delay, and left it there.

That was almost two weeks ago. Since then: nothing. No email, no call, no update. He followed up himself and heard nothing back.

He is employed and looking casually, so he is not sitting at home waiting. What bothers him is the shape of it — being sourced, put through a reschedule, told the meeting went well, and then dropped. If the role is on hold, say so. If they went another way, say so. A two-line email takes thirty seconds.
