Ten months of applying, and of being rejected. Then, this week, a new offer — accepted.
They were moving out of retail management and into administration at a manufacturing company. Over the ten months they applied for fifty-three positions. Out of all of them came a single intake, a single interview, and a single offer.
“I knew if I could get to the interview process I could be a serious contender,” they wrote — and they were right. The role, they said, was exactly what they had been looking for, with good pay and real room to grow. No labyrinth of rounds; one conversation that landed.
After a long stretch of nothing, they wrote simply that they were looking forward to the new chapter.
