Six months unemployed, applications uncounted. Eight interviews, six of them reaching the final stage, and nothing to show for any of them. The candidate got to the point of saying they would take any job at all, at any pay, just to have one — savings drained, confidence and trust in themselves worn down with it.
Then, just as they were close to giving up, the interview invites arrived one after another.
In one final round the line manager said “congratulations” at the end of the call, before the video had even closed. Two days later they sat a second final interview — and had an offer from that one within the week.
Two offers, after six months of nothing. Their message was the same one that had carried them through: circumstances can change in a snap, so do not stop.
