Onboarded, paid, three days in — then: “you never accepted the offer”

A new hire finished onboarding, set up direct deposit and worked Tuesday through Thursday before an email landed titled “Revocation of Employment Offer.” Its stated reasoning: the offer “was never accepted.” They had, by that point, been an employee for three days. r/recruitinghell couldn't decide whether to laugh or draft a complaint.
