Weeks passed with no update. Instead of waiting, the candidate sent a polite but direct LinkedIn message to the company's Director of Talent Acquisition, describing the experience. The director replied within hours, apologised, and followed up. The recruiter admitted the role had gone to someone else. But the story didn't end there. When the same job was reposted weeks later, the candidate reached out to the director again. The recruiter called back — and offered the job. No additional interviews required.
