After a month and a half of interviews, a candidate received and accepted a job offer — only to have it rescinded by phone call one hour before his scheduled start date. The CEO, who had never participated in any interview round, personally reviewed the CV at the last moment and decided the candidate's experience was insufficient. The candidate posted on r/recruitinghell: "The same CEO who was never involved in the interviews let the team, the HR, and the whole process run for 1.5 months and then just said 'nah.'"
