# Passed Round Four. Declined Round Five.

**[TRUE STORY]** — by Candidate · via X

Four interviews done, every one of them passed - and the recruiter's reward was an invitation to a fifth. The candidate wrote back to withdraw instead. The reasoning was a single sentence long: five interviews with no decision in sight tells you the process may not be a good fit, which is exactly the thing an interview is supposed to establish. Round five was the answer, offered instead of one.
