# One Application, One Video Interview — and the Recruiter Who Stopped There

**[WIN]** — by Candidate · via r/recruitinghell

After a run of applications that demanded three in-person interviews and then still produced the line about not having a sense of who he was, one recruiter at a big-box retailer did something different.

He applied. He recorded a video interview. That was enough. No third round, no panel, no request to come back and meet the team. The offer followed.

He wrote to thank the recruiter directly: for realising that the application and the video had already answered the questions. And he hoped other candidates would get to feel the same thing — a process that knew when it had enough.
