# He Cleared Every Round. Then the CTO Rejected the Offer Letter.

Technical, managerial, HR rounds: cleared. The HR representative called to say he had been selected. No written offer followed.

After two days he followed up. The letter was in the approval phase. A week later, HR had news: every approval was complete except the CTO’s, and the CTO had rejected it.

Budget was not the reason, HR said. No reason was given. The hiring manager — and the hiring manager’s manager — had both asked the CTO to reconsider.

He posted the sequence and asked the only question left: does he still have a chance?
