A recruiter called to arrange an interview and then disappeared for three weeks. The candidate stayed patient, sent the polite follow-ups, got silence. Then the candidate mentioned that another recruiter had been in touch — and suddenly the first recruiter was very interested again. Nothing about the candidate had changed. Only the competition had.
