# Eight Minutes Late. Call Ended.

**[TRUE STORY]** — by Senior leadership role · via r/recruitinghell

A candidate for a senior leadership role scheduled a call with a recruiter who never showed. The recruiter explained later: "I thought the meeting was today." They rescheduled. The next day the recruiter joined eight minutes late and immediately asked, "Do you have a hard stop at 12:20?" The candidate ended the call on the spot. He later wrote on r/recruitinghell: if this is how they treat candidates before they are even hired, imagine what the company is like day to day. The community called it cathartic.
