The candidate let the number do the talking. It took eight rounds — including a five-interview marathon in one sitting — before the company was ready to make up its mind, and even then there is no tidy ending to the tweet, just the exhausted verdict that these companies “have legit lost the plot.”

Eight rounds is not diligence. It is a process that does not know what it is looking for, conducted entirely at the candidate’s expense.
