A job seeker was messaged by an HR representative on WhatsApp and asked for his current CTC before an interview. He refused and offered an expected salary range instead. The recruiter went silent. He alleged the same company had also asked for education documents and a 40,000-rupee cheque as 'security' during the notice period.
