# Applied at 6am, Hired by Noon

Six in the morning: application sent. Noon: interview. The same call: hired on the spot. The job is remote, pays more than the last one, and is willing to wait until after a scheduled surgery to start. There was no take-home, no second round, no three-week silence - just a manager who read the application, met the person, and decided. It happened on Labor Day, which the candidate notes as a first.

The whole thing fit inside a morning. Everything job seekers are told is unavoidable - the rounds, the assignment, the wait - was, here, simply not done.
