**CROMULENT LOGISTICS — OFFICE OF TALENT ATTRACTION**

**MEMO 2026-047: THE WRONG-ADDRESS ACCELERATOR**

We are pleased to announce a promotion.

A candidate arrived for their interview one hour late, having presented at the wrong address. On informing the panel of this navigational setback, the candidate was offered the role of Regional Manager on the spot.

Let us be clear about what we have learned. Our industry runs on precision: parcels, addresses, delivery windows, signatures. The candidate demonstrated, in a single sentence, a total disregard for these constraints. Leadership potential, we now understand, is often indistinguishable from this.

Some colleagues have asked whether the candidate should first complete the standard six-round interview cycle, the unsupervised take-home assignment, and the asynchronous culture questionnaire. These colleagues should consider whether they, too, are measuring the wrong things. A candidate who cannot find the building will not be slowed down by petty considerations such as finding the building.

Effective immediately, every interview will include a wrong-address assessment. Candidates who arrive at the correct location will be routed to our quality-assurance team, where their excessive reliability will not be wasted.
