**MEMO 2026-119: THE FREEMIUM CANDIDATE**

A candidate recently submitted a resume that was only half-printed. The missing half was not an oversight. It read, in elegant type: "Hire me to unlock full potential."

We have studied this candidate closely and concluded he is a visionary.

For too long we have given away the full interview experience for free. Candidates arrive expecting to see every stage of the process, to understand the role, to receive a salary range. This is unsustainable. We are adopting a freemium model for hiring.

Under the new policy, candidates will submit a "starter resume" — enough to establish that they exist. Full potential unlocks at the paid tier. The paid tier, naturally, is the job itself. Candidates who accept an offer will receive, at no additional cost, the rest of their qualifications.

Some colleagues worry this inverts the application process. These colleagues fail to grasp that the candidate's half-resume is a mirror of our half-offer: we, too, are withholding the good parts until commitment. A candidate who understands this is exactly the kind of candidate we want to pay.

Effective immediately, all requisitions will display the candidate's full potential as "Coming Soon."
